Well some mice.... my office here at work is crawling with them now that the cold weather is setting in.... any of you Rat's got some advice on killing your brothers and sisters hiding in my walls:eek:

Hehe... couldn't think of a more fitting place to ask this question:rolleyes:

Put some cheese in the bottom of a five gallon bucket with a ramp up over the edge. The mice will jump in to eat and will not be able to get out. Then you can dispose of them as you choose. If you are the freindly sort you could release them in an old feild or if you want revenge, release them in an enemies garage.

Blow gun and good aim? If you work in an office that would allow such behavior?

Turn a snake loose.

Peanut butter and a couple of standard mousetraps.. Just be sure to bait them BEFORE you arm them! Also, be sure to check them everyday, you'll be suprised how fast you'll catch them!

One thing that worked in my wifes office was to FORBID the staff keeping food in their desk drawers.. All food was to be kept in the kitchen area, including snacks.

I'll second that, peanut butter and traps are the best way.

Decon or Bar Bait will kill'em, but if they make it back to the walls before expiring (likely) they'll decompose and you'll be stuck with the smell of rotting rodent.

Or put some peanut butter on a small piece of bread - put that on a small piece of wood and fill the bucket w/ water. Add ramp and they will drown trying to get the food. Make sure the bread/peanut butter/ wood is small enough so that they cannot hold on and float for two long.....

Found one like this one winter in the garage, after a quick drop to -0. One little mouse frozen in a bucket of clear ice. :)

Haha! My old college roommates and I used to sit up late with only the TV on for light waiting for the mice to come out so we could blowgun them! I guess you'll do anything for fun while drunk! :D

Try placing traps around the outside walls of the building. They have to come in from the outside so this is one strategy. Place them so that the bait is close in to the wall as the critters like to scurry along the edge of the wall next to the ground. They are getting in somewhere so place lots of traps. Also too look closely at the ground right next to the wall for well worn critter paths, as those are the best places for the traps.

Secondly place traps inside the building and again place them up close to the walls with the bait facing the wall. For mice place them about half to one inch from the wall, and for rats about 2 inches from the wall. A rule of thumb is to place them about the width of the body of the critter you wish to catch away from the wall.

Periodically change the baits to keep them attractive to the little bastards.
