I just love them toothpicks, whether they be called a 'Texas Toothpick', or a 'Tickler'! The thing is, I like mine BIG! Those piddley little 3" models just don't cut it for me.

That's why I jumped on this Case Blue Bone LARGE Toothpick when I found it in a small town hardware store a few days ago. I don't see it listed in their catalog, so it may have been a limited production model? I wish they would make more of the large model - they carry so darn nice! Lots of good usable blade as well.

Here are some poor camera phone pics:

I've got a Queen Zebra Wood Toothpick on order now, and I can't wait for it to show up. Anyone else want to show off their toothpicks/navajas/laguiole knives? :)

Says the guy worried about oiling his sodbuster? :D

Yes they are long, but they are also very slender; even a 4.5" or 5" toothpick disappears in a trouser or coin pocket. They are also surprisingly light weight, especially for their size. That is why I like them - one would be hard pressed to find a knife that offers as much blade yet carries so easily.

The exceptionally long blades taper to a very thin tip; this is very useful for dividing small items. As another benefit, sawing motions are seldom needed with such designs. :)

yes there is alot of truth to that. I have been wanting a large toothpick, but I find they are hard to find! Not many companys make them.

'74 Case 61093 in Jigged Delrin. It's different than the Lg Toothpicks that they sell today, smaller frame and wider clip blade.

I'll see if I can take some better photos of it soon. I also have a 2008 Lg Toothpick from case, that I should pull out one of these days.

Toothpicks? I think I have a couple around here somewhere. ;)

WOW! Now THAT is that I'm talking about! Love that birdseye maple Queen; the S&M is an eye catcher as well. Great collection!

Oh yes, I just got this case walnut large texas toothpick, and I love how massive it is

Another fine example! That will surely be my next toothpick.

Glad to see you can take a good natured joke in stride - not a lot of people can, especially on the internet. I know what you mean about the scarcity. I think Queen and Case are the only current production options at the moment.

Fantastic everyone. Keep it up!

FWIW, those were called "Saturday night specials" back in the day. Those switchbldes are cool, and when I was a kid you could buy them anywhere.

@Mr. Trooper, don't worry about me haha, I'm all for poking fun at eachother. Anyway, these are some good pics!

My Queen City in carbon and red delrin 3" toothpick is my alternative to a peanut
A 3" stag S&M toothpick is my VNC (very nice carry) for when I am out at more formal occasions

I have a Queen 5" toothpick in cocobolo, and a Tidioute 4" toothpick in jigged purple bone. They're both among my favorites, although the Queen sees less pocket time... Generally, I find that if I'm carrying a blade that long, I choose something a little more robust (Mountain Man lockback, for example), but the full-size toothpick certainly has a charm all its own.

...Makes me wanna dig mine out of the cigar box. I think I will, once I get home. :D
