I've been around a while on these knives forums. I own my share of "high end" blades. After you get by the glitz of the new blade and get it into your hands so you can inspect it, the real issue comes to the forefront---if something is wrong will they fix it?

Well, in my case, it wasn't "fixing" anything, the 560 Titanium I purchased was perfect as issued. Very sharp and without any flaws I could see. But, like many of you I lusted for the "unique". I had to see if I could get a BG42 blade in my 560 by the folks of BKI. I read all the posts and sent an email to Joe Houser (yeah my email was the only one he received that day and he was eagerly awaiting it).

My blade arrived in El Cajon last Wednesday (tracking number confirms) and I received my completed 560 with a coveted BG42 blade yesterday in the mail. This is exceptional service for a company as large as Buck! Joe Houser and the gang in the custom shop should be commended for their quick service and excellent work.

I look around and peek at a lot of knives (I buy a few as well), but I keep sneaking back to Buck--because they believe in a quality product and have great service!

I'm looking now to obtain a Buck/Mayo. Naw, I'm not worried if I think the grind lines are incorrect, because, I know that BKI will make it right.

This is my opinion and I'm sticking with it!--Thanks Joe and the Custom Shop!

Wow! Thanks for the comments! I will pass them on to Efren Reyes, my rework specailist. He is the guy that really did the work and he loves to hear back from customers.
Thanks again!
