Wife is closing on a new house today and I have my CRK's all packed for the move. I am not looking forward to the change.

Feeling your pain....

I'm moving in a couple weeks, I got to hire a company to transport my safe. Cost about $400 and they will tapcon it to floor anywhere I want. So bunch of firearms and around 25 knives and about 8000 rounds of ammo. I feel your pain.

I'm slowly trying to box up everything I can, before the big move, it's stinks. I'll be happy when its done, and then I got to focus on taxes for my business. Another big big stress. This to shall pass, let us know how everything gos.

Have them use concrete anchors instead of tapcons. Steel drop ins, wedge anchors, sleeve anchors, epoxy anchors etc. look up the shear weight values of anchors compared to tapcons and you'll thank me later.
Using a tapcon to fasten a safe is like using a drywall screw to hold up a TV.

There's move, and there's MOVE! I thought it was time to lick our chops.... Oh well, broke anyway!

Hope your new home will keep you there until your kids are grown and gone.
Your thread title surprised me, I live close enough to you that I'd make time to pick over your outstanding collection if you were moving them.
It's a relief you're just moving them to a new house. They better ride in the car with you ;) and not in a moving van.
That's when you know their just more than knives.

Actually the knives are the easiest part. I sold 5 of my guitars and basses, one amp, a slew of recording equipment and two aquariums...no way was I going to move the 125 gallon one. I am dreading the move on my two three way bass cabinets as they weigh 96 pounds a piece and must go through the doors sideways. Dolly is my new friend. The good news is that the 25 k for my recent sales means more CRK's! I almost forgot that I need to sell about 15 mikes and about 20 stomp boxes. I also found almost a hundred sets of guitar strings...might need to keep them for the Zombie Apocalypse. I haven't recovered from my 600 plus mile trek yesterday to Houston and Baton Rouge not to mention the incredible wait for my wife and her sister to clear customs coming back from China with 400 pounds of Chinese delicacies. Coke Zero and Canadian Whiskey sounding better as I type.

I posted my pic so you'd see how qualified I would be to come over and help you fondle....... errr....... I mean pack, the CRK's....

Actually there is no packing. All of my CRK's are always out of their boxes and in cases. Their boxes are in clear plastic containers and have already been moved to the new house. Guitars, basses and ukes were moved today along with shirts, cases of toilet paper and half the towels. One large box of musical supplies has also been relocated. The new house has zero towel racks...I do not understand how anyone can survive without towel racks. The bathrooms have strange bi-fold doors so no racks can be hung from them either.
