Gotta source for large 416SS?

I'm making a large pummel in stainless. The largest size of 416 I could find is 3/4" x 5/8". I'd really like something closer to 1 x 1, so I have room for shaping.

Any ideas where to find it or would you like to part with some?

Probably whoever your local steel yard is can source it easily enough. I have an Alro steel by me and they have all kinds of sizes of 416.

Do it like they did historically! Make it hollow and out of sheet metal!

Don't I wish! The local guy just has structural steel and "oh there's different types of stainless?"

I don't plan on making more of these - it's a custom order. So 1" x 1" x 3/4" is it. Well, maybe two pieces if I screw up.
