Just got a buck 110 slim select and inside the two I have gotten there are scratch like marks on the inside of the lock bar. Just looks sloppy and ugly. Is this common? it’s a pretty long gouge.

That would be die tear. Nothing to worry about structurally

Hope this helps.

Jeff
Thank you sir. It just looks ugly and almost like rust. I didn’t notice it in my last purchase. Love the slim select. It’s an orange one and I don’t loose it because it’s so bright. Thank you for the response. I have photos if you’d like to see them?

I would like to see the pics. I have several of the Slims and have never noticed anything like you've encountered.

I need to sign up for a membership to use pucs

i posted a pic on the buck knoves group on Facebook
Which group? There’s about 4 different and I haven’t seen any pictures.

Besides the official Buck knives and Bcci there’s buck knives fans group, buck 110 collectors and buck 110 only group.
Edit, the fan page has 10k members.

thats more folks than there are bcci members.

I joined the fan page a few years ago but they had various non buck knives posted including fakes and I confronted them about it and was chastised by the page moderators so I left the group. It seemed to be wide open for anyone to post just about anything.

Feels like FB killed the BCCI website?
FB easier to use. Free. BF seems like a happy medium.

Mike, the way I see it, the BCCI website's utility is all the invaluable reference material. That has not changed.
There was never enough discussion on the BCCI website to kill.
Agreed, i wasnt collecting any knives until the last 5 years or so. Juat seems like BF and the sticky pages are a good source also.
