Well, I've been wanting one for a while and it so happened that I lost my old daily carry knife so I decided it was a good time to get one.

I ordered a CQC7B BTS and it arrived yesterday. NICE!!! Much better than I was even expecting (and I was expecting a lot.) Very sharp and well made.

Now I am already looking at the CQC10 and a CQC7A... I think I am in trouble now... :D

I've been carrying my Cqc7a a lot lately. Plain, Satin, with OD g10... I highly recommend it, though I don't love the pseudo V-grind. I kind of think that the 7b with it's true chisel grind will cut better.

it would not be complete without a waved Commander

congrats on your CQC 7 too!!

I am looking to purchase my first Emerson as well and was curious as to people's opinions on the CQC-7B-BT, vs. the CQC-7B-BTS. Is the seration on the blade simply a matter of personal preference, or is one design considered to be more useful than the other?

i would get the non serrated blade myself, thats the only diff by the way, the serrations.

why? most folks dont like serrations and the knife will be easier to sell if ya wanna, the serrations are more difficult to sharpen than the CG, and the serrations cut no better than the CG, so unless ya cut a lot of rope i'd get the non serrated version. might would get it even if i cut a lot of rope lol.
