GPS Phone any experience?

I am looking to switch up my cellphone in the next week or so and I am interested in the GPS service offered by Nextel and such. If you look at their sites it's nothing but the best thing ever. The outdoor magazines seem to be fond of it too, but has anyone had any realworld experience? Is the technology worth a darn? What phones are the best for it?

Real world experience ? We demonstrated to a group last year that radio [amateur], cell phones and GPS are not a sure thing. Depending on terrain such as mountains , thick forrest, distance from cell towers etc they sometimes will not work !! Make sure that what you have works where you will be and think of options too.

And, ya gotta make sure you wrap it in aluminum foil... they can track you with that you know.
