This is one I have to share with all dog lovers. Gracie was born Dec 26, 2008she is still under a year old. It was my gift from my wife on Valentine's Day. A chocolate lab, my favorite type of chocolate. Gracie has been shy around water (LOL). She has been to the beach, but really cautious around water. I took her to Mammoth, and she jumped into Lake Mary and took one swim chasing a duck, but not since. She is very uncomfortable about jumping in the pool, and I do not force her. So, when we went for a hike instead of a movie on Sat. (My wife is still thanking me for that suggestion), we went to a great spot in Thousand Oaks CA. At the west end of Avenida De Los Arboles, there is a trail head. There are two falls, one is Paradise, the other Rainbow falls, this is the larger of the two, but do not remember which is which. Anyways, it was a proud day for Gracie and me! Hope you enjoy the pics.
Stepdaughter Carlie. She wants my End of Day Fight'n Rooster stockman when I die.
Here is my step sons Carter and Carson. My wife calls them her car collection. Carter, Carlie, and Carson.
That is my son Killian, he wants my Griptilian, you can only guess why. This area is gorgeous!
That is Killian's twin brother CJ. He is the true CJ, I am just Chris. (OK, I just spilled the beans). I had the idea to be called CJ many moons ago, but there was this tv show called LA Law, and then this chick showed up......CJ.....It pretty much was not worth it at the time. One day, one of Christopher's friends called him CJ, and I said WT......? You know what I mean. I was jealous. Anyways, it is not about me, it is about Gracie.
One more of the whole group. Kristal, my wife, is the best to put up with my knife habit. She even goes to shows with me. I am lucky.
The last rain we had pushed all of the cat tail reeds down. This shot was taken by Killian. It was a great one. I threw a tennis ball in the water a couple times, and no go, Gracie would not get it. On land she retrieves till exhausted. That huge stick that CJ had,.....for some reason, that is what Gracie wanted to retrieve. She went after it without much hesitation.
Talk about being a proud dog owner. She was quite the show off.
