gradual, sweeping plunge cut

I have my 8" wheel radiused enough to give a nice smooth, rounded plunge cut... But to get the kind of plunge to ricasso sweep like you see on a Ron Gaston knife, do you just put a more pronounced radius on the wheel. Or is it a controlled matter of pulling the blade out gently to stretch it down?

I hope that made sense.

I would like to have a more sweeping plunge on my daggers and fighters...but I don't want to mess with my contact wheel if it's not gonna help.

Thanks

Nick my contact wheels are still pretty sqaure. I think a foredom would be very handy for touching up those long sweeps. Have done a couple this way. I have the # of a company that sells a good selection of carbides and sanding rolls used for porting 2 cycle racing motorcycle cylinders. Im a retired motorcycle mechanic (30 years)

I had wondered if I could do that with my foredom - hesitated to try for fear of screwing up the grind.
