Here are the earliest shots of the new CRKT Graham SS7.

These are literally the first shipment out. Having had the opportunity to be involved with the SS line from its inception, I have to say these are the finest production copy of a full blown custom I have seen to date. The Graham brothers must have sat on top them like a mother hen as these "chicks" are simply remarkable in all regards. Folks, I have quite a collection of early Graham protos and I can say without a doubt, these knives are perfect, magnificent astonishing at their price.

The original, the first SS knife was a 5" blade, these are a full 7" but still retain a close balance to the original. The serration work is excellent, the thumb filing remarkable. These knives include a feature not found in the original design...a glass breaker. I don't think this feature will stick around for long as it is so precise and perfect, it just can't be done this well for too long. Folks, a knock out....

Professionals, this blade is as fast in the hand as the Cordova Gladiator...those that know what I am talking about knows that is one heck of a statement.

Well done Grahams.... Well done CRKT.

I don't know anything about Razels so can someone please explain the purpose of this knife?

It looks like a field knife, the primary blade is probably useful for plantation & harvesting type duties.

So why the sawback, bottle opener and glass beaker?

You knew it was a razel...thats a good start.

The earliest razels were mostly EDC front pocket knives. The ring razels (want some shots of the new CRKT ring SS?) are very popular with working men and women that work a knife hard and have wet hands.

No mystery here....this is a heavy duty field blade variant with some remarkable attributes. ITs not a large knife like a machete or for harvesting like you mentioned, but it packs a whallop.
For folks that actually use their knives, they get beat up fast, you carry in what you need and it has to last.

1. You can not break the tip of these blades.
2. You can use these blades as a pry bar. Windows, doors, crates, barrels.
3. You can puncture a 55 gallon drum with the leading lower edge design.
4. The front blade, when rotated to the work surface can be used to remove gaskets or shave off a thin layer with precision, hammer slice thick rope, draw knife thick materials with turning control. One can "crush" cut just about anything with CONTROL.
5. The top blade will cut nylon and heavy rope....fast. Most knives fail at this.
6. The front and top blades allow a heavy user to SAVE the lower blade as razor sharp.
7. Glass break slam handle for emergencies.
8. and when your all done you can tear off and bottle top, bend sheet metals, crimp can lids off and on.
9 Heavy weight allows for huge cutting hacks. THis blade clears brush, cuts wood, cuts hauser, etc.
10. The removable handle allows for boilng the blade to get it really clean or to wash off salt water or chemicals.

The remarkable grind is on BOTH sides, these are thick, strong knives. A good number of the custom blades made it to Afghanistan and Iraq.
