A couple of years ago I picked up this Wenger cheap at a gunshow because the spearpoint blade was bent. There must have been a stress fracture in the bend because as I was very nearly done straightening it the blade let out a ring as it snapped. In short order, I gave it away here to sitflyer as he said he'd like to mod it. He did just that, but returned it to me after regrinding the spearpoint blade. Of my scouts, which is my favorite pattern, this knife is my favorite. It just has as story to tell, and I only know a little of it.

I remember that "incident" (really a series).
Thanks for reminding us of that, leghog, and I'm glad you think so much of your knife.

Cool story, thanks for sharing. It's good to see that it was given a new life and is so appreciated.

I like the shield on that model and nice modification to the blade. Wish victorinox would make inlaid shields again.

Yes, those old Swiss knives just hold that special something quality! Magnificent Leghog!!
