Hello all,
I was just cleaning out the basement and found grampas old Schrade knife.
It has no model number on it.
Blade is stamped with:
Schrade
Walden
NY USA
STAINLESS

It has a single blade, and a curved hook blade. Its a switch blade with push button and button lock. It is bright orange.
I think it may be a military knife as gramps said it was for para troopers to cut their lines if they were hung up in trees.
Any ideas?

sounds like the typical schrade paratroopers switchblade, nice old knife with history. You are lucky to have your gandpas old knife

Look like this Camillus version?

Yeah, it is well used. I wanted to get it refurbished as the blade has been worn down by years of sharpening and it doesn't close all the way. Spring action is a bit weak too.

It has probably gutted 25+ deer.

Yes, looks like that picture, but without the ring on the front. It looks like it may have been cut off and ground down so it could fit into a belt sheath.

Thanks for the info!
