I totally agree with the BOKER rep on your posting the tirade against the BOKER company and its' products.
It was totally uncalled for here. You should have given the BOKER company the chance to correct an obvious sub-standard product before saying a single word on a public forum. IF they dropped the ball in getting you one of the best knives they make to replace an obvious clinker THEN it would have been time to take them to task here and given them both barrels.
The BOKER company hasn't been in business for 150 years by making and selling crap knives. BUT, big BUT, they are human beings and human beings make mistakes, all of us including you, Gramps!!!
I don't know a soul at the BOKER company nor frankly do I need to know them. Their obvious quality in the BOKER knives in my collection speaks for itself.
The biggest disappointment to me though is this: an old timer who calls himself " Gramps " acts like a snot nosed kid instead of a well seasoned ol' geezer like the rest of us ol' geezers who learned a hell of a long time ago you get a much better response with a kind tone and a gentle word when it comes to getting problems solved. The BOKER rep's response was directly caused by the words you chose and the tone in which they were presented.

Wil Terry, albeit your allusion to age, experience, and understanding your reponse I think most would agree resembles that of someone a level just below a "snot nosed kid"....perhaps a yearling in diapers ! Your post is CLEARLY "bating" and not worthy of someone who professes to know how to talk to folks.
My issues are with a knife and a company not an individual and a personality. If you can't differentiate between the two and want to make this about personal attacks....I suggest you stay off the forum and visit your insults upon your own kind.

Hey if you notice the original thread, it was closed by TJT bc of Gramps editing his posts after the fact, notice the timestamps by the posts. This seems like it's almost a personal attack against Boker, I own many of their knives and I regard them as a high quality product, and have personally never seen a bad one. However, I've even had some Benchmades that had subpar quality, it happens with every brand. The proper channel would have been to contact Boker via phone and then attack on forum had they done nothing to correct the problem. I've never needed to use their warranty dept. but have used Case's and they were very professional, courteous, and glad to take care of the problem, I think Boker should have been given that chance.
 
I'm going to have to back TJT on this.
I can understand Gramps disappointment,
but his statements were just too harsh.
 
Spidie fan....well thank you for not making your reponse a personal attack. I repect your opinion. The intent of my original post was to express my disappoinment with a Boker knife....perhaps I should have done a knife review and posted it there for all to see. I chose to use this form however for my impressions of the knfe. My original post was an "attack", to use your characterization, on an individual knife not a person !
In regards to the original thread, to allow another thread to start up and continue based on a personal attack I believe is quite different than a post commmenting on a Boker knife, and I suggest, since the forum is moderated by Boker....a poor decision.

The original thread was locked to avoid it's devolving into personal attacks.
Gramps and I communicated,and have worked things out.
Mistakes were made,and,like adults,were worked out.
I appreciate the support,but,at this juncture,is not needed.
I willsay that I can do more to help with these problems from the office on the phone,but will gladly do my best whenever I log in here.


Now,can we talk about knives? :D
