Is there a difference between the Grand baby Ang Khola shape and the Ang Khola? The reason I ask this is because I just got the 11" Ang Khola from Khadka and now I see a Grand baby Ang Khola from Dil Bhadur. I kind like them both but don't know if I want to buy a second small one. I am hoping to get an 18" WWII model soon, but like the other post said, the blade will find you.

They are the same blade shape, Ang Khola (AK), just the baby or grand baby are smaller then normal size ones.

Skyler is spot on about the sizes and shape. If you like little knives then go ahead but if you want real dedicated users stay between 15" and 18" models with the 17" - 18" models the best all around khukuris IMO.

The smaller khuks are neat to show off and Yangdu even once carried a small bladed khuk when she road the night bus to stop amorous advances at any time but mostly in the dark IIRC. She would tell the would be amorous male that he had better remove his hand from her if he didn't want his hand removed from his arm, worked every time! :D

The little khuks serve their purposes but smaller khuk means smaller work. A 12" Ang Khola works excellently for rough chopping somewhat will be delicate work in the end.
I have a 12" Villager wood handled AK that I rough chop ndn feather fan handles with and will no doubt use it when I get down to the closer parts of roughing out a longbow. :D
