This beauty arrived in the mail today, first impressions are really great!

The fit and finish throughout, metal to metal and bone to metal is flawless. None of the 4 blades rub against each other and the Grand Canyon Bone scales are real sweet. This is my first Congress pattern and I am really pleased with it.

I think the stepped bolsters are very distinct and have a really high class factor.
The CONGRESS pattern is one of those old time designs that isn't appreciated until it is used for a while by it's owner. You are in for some surprises as you learn the whys and wherefores of your new pocketknife.

I have the jigged red bone boker congress with the stepped bolsters and I have enjoyed it very much!

many people do not liek the congress, but I have been carrying them since I was young. Its one of those patterns you have to use to appreciate.

Looks mighty nice!.

I may go downtown to Casa Boker one of this days to see what they have, they only have some models at a time but it's always nice to handle a knife before buying it and prices are not too high. Last time I bought my rosewood Classic Whittler, they did have one of the short bolster Congress but I think this Grand Canyon is nicer.

I'm trying to get used to the angle of the blades to the handle, anyone know why the Congress has such a pronounced arch on the back?
