I posted some Canyon photos on the adrenaline thread Pokey started earlier. That got me thinking..This would be the perfect place for hiding Dog Tags.:p

Here are some more photos just to share, just for fun.

It's impossible to take a bad photo here. Everything looks like a painting. Does anyone else have any Grand Canyon photos to share?

In all seriousness the canyon country is one of the coolest places there is. Each hour that time goes buy it gives you a different look as to how the shadows move and change. One of the most interesting places on the earth. Great shots everyone!!!

Look close in your first pic . I think I see " Kilroy was here " on the side of the one mountian walls... hmmm he beat you there again :) Great pics love to go sometime ....

One of my favorite places. Went on a hike to the bottom of the canyon and stayed a couple of nights at Phantom Ranch a few years back. Very cool place. Saw tons of wildlife and very few people down there. I'll see if I can find the photos....

Here's a few I was able to dig up... The rim of the canyon is the absolute best viewpoint I've ever been to personally. I could sit there for hours staring at the scenery. The bottom of the canyon seems like another world altogether but it's beautiful in it's own way. Hide some dog tags down there and give me an excuse to go back ;):D

Here's a nice Mule deer we caught drinking in a stream that feeds the Colorado river

Can't remember the name of this rock face but I think it was taken early into the hike down

Hiked a bit from Phantom Ranch to see Ribbon Falls

A shot from behind the falls

Sorry this one is a bit dark as it was taken just before sunrise but it shows what remains of some old ruins from the native people who used to live here

Always remember to try and get down to Sedona AZ whenever you visit the Grand Canyon, it's phenomenal as well.

I actually backpacked into Supai and the Havasupai Falls a few years ago. Although I don't have any pictures, it was an experience I will never forget. Dropping down from the rim into the Canyon is spiritual, and gives you a sense of time passing like no other. We camped down there for a few days, and it felt like a lifetime had gone by!

If you are ever in AZ, do not miss it. It is much, much more than just a big hole in the ground! ;)
