Here is the Schrade factory flyer on the knife from 1975. It gives a lot of information on this issue.

The flyer image, as you see from the watermark is stored on the collectors-of-schrades-r.us site, built and hosted by member lrv. It is a great resource for collectors. To my knowledge, nothing like it exists for any other brand!

thanks for that info codger it has no box and has a brown sheath and no etching
on blade I'll try to post a pic soon

This knife also has three fellow knives in this series, alarge stockman,8OT, a medium stockman 34OT, and a barlow. I have also seen reason to believe this set was a Schrade 70th anniversary set. happy collecting,G.M

If anyone from the forums wants a flyer without the watermark let me know and I'll see what I can do.

This has been explained before, but for those who didn't read the explanation, here is the reason for the watermarks. It was done to keep some of THOSE PEOPLE from making copies and putting them on eBay as originals, soaking you guys.

It was not done to prevent honest collectors from using them as a resource by viewing them, or printing them out for their own reference folders.

It was A hard decision to make because it limits the viewability (is that a word?) of the flyers, but photocopies were showing up on eBay of flyers, catalogs and even Robert Clemente's book.

Even today, a lot of NIB complete older Schrades on eBay will be seen with photocopies of original box inserts. Look at the paper texture and color.

I guess I'll have to extract a blood oath before I can send em..
Actually Codger is correct as I stated on the web page a couple years ago Im just trying to prevent "errors" from happening.

BTW: we are getting close to 20,000 (18,8..) visitors to the main page.
18000 are mine.. Which aint too bad concidering most of the access we do is to a page via a link not being counted.

Don't kid yourself. I use the resource as much as anyone, probably more. It is certainly easier than digging through the six...no seven filing cabinets and three bookshelves when doing research, and a prime way to introduce noobs (and Old Timers alike) here to the "art" of doing their own research. Besides, it is a pleasant diversion when I am in there looking for a particular "something" and find a dozen rabbit trails to follow. Once again, thank you for your hard work. I'll email your boss tomorrow and recommend you for a raise. :)
