I still have my Grandma's Joseph Rodgers carving set in my kitchen drawer. I mainly use the sharpening steel, probably 2-3 times a week :thumbup:

I refurbished the handle of this one a while back. Jack Black thought it might be Teak . My gran bought it for my mum as a wedding present in 1963.
I was amazed by the beauty of the grain as it appeared from beneath the years of built up grime and dried out from washing up water-it was almost black!
