Hey all!
KK sent me your way so blame him for the intrusion into the dark side ;) .
I'm looking for some info on the Granpa series and would love to see a picture or 3 of the line. I've looked at the web site and found no mention of the line.

Even though the factory is now a GE plant, us Schrade collectors are still at it over on our side of the forum. Drop on in.

Thanks
Larry

I second Larry's request for pics. And add to his invite to you guys to join us in Schrade country.

This looks to be a great line of knives and with the family connection to Schrade, a natural.

Does anyone know where pictures of the Grandpa series knives can be seen?
I did a google search but came up with nothing. Does anyone know a dealer who may have them in stock with a picture? Thanks.

I ran across one at a Dunhams sporting goods store here in Ohio. The bad news is that Dunhams must not carry the same inventory in their stores as they do on their website. The Dunhams I was in had a very small selection. Their website doesn't even list Camillus (which the store had) and does list Spyderco (which the store had none of). The other bad news is that Dunhams is only in the midwest (OH,PA,IN,ILL etc). I believe the grandpa that I glanced at was a stockman style and was similiar to a Schrade 34OT. I believe the price was around $25, I will have to go back and take a closer look.
I haven't had any luck locating them on the net either.

The mystery continues. Even Camillus doesn't list them or mention them in any way on their website (at least that I could find).

Well I have a brochure showing the new series......I have a scanner, but do not know how to post a scanned pic here for all to see

Phil - Sorry for the bad timing!

Thanks, Rick.

I'm a collector of fine American Cutlery products, and a daily user of modern, American made blades. Obviously, the death of Schrade has affected me as well. They made many mistakes that led to their demise.

I think the remaining American knife companies have to be quick on their feet, quick to respond to the customer, and appreciative of we faithful, for we're a shrinking breed. Every little market share: collectors & users, have to be aggressively courted and pleased. It cannot be easy.

Maybe I am overestimating the power of we public forum users, but we are the faithful I mentioned above. The front line of your customer base. Of course we're gonna hold our favorite manufactors to high standards, both in product and customer service.

It did irk me that members of the forum here were working among themselves to show off YOUR product for you. Honestly.. I know you're a busy guy, but at the first inkling that someone had an interest in what should be an important new product line for the company, I would have been down on the factory floor, snapping excellent pics, making a post, showing off the product, describing it in glowing detail... making the sale. Making the sale as if my livelyhood depended upon it.

We're fortunate over in the Schrade forum to have some fascinating new members... They are former employees of Schrade, who now have lots of time to spend on web forums...

Thank you for posting the pictures. Can any of the Camillus factory folks tell us if the Sharpfinger clone is available now, where, cost, steel type, Rc hardness if known, etc?

Anyone know of online dealers who have these? I've checked a few, but have not found any listings? Ran a google search the other day and also came up empty. So far as I know, there are no local dealers of Camillus knvies around me. Thanks, Vaquero
