Alright I will start this thread by saying as men we are naturally attracted towards sharp things so Grandfathers, Dads and ourselves have sharp things ;)
and as family's go through generation to generation those sharp things are passed down.

This thread is for showing off what Traditional Knife (Folder/fixed) your Grandfather, Father, Uncle or Father figure have passed down to you.

Try to keep conversations to a minimal but stories on how you acquired the knife or knives is encouraged!

I would also like to say sorry in advance for not posting a picture myself, but my Father isn't the biggest fan of knives and my Grandfather died before I met him.

That being said LET THE PICTURES BEGIN! :encouragement:

This Imperial Prov USA was my Dad's knife as early as I ever remember, so definitely older than the early '60s.
The interesting thing is that my Dad was right handed, but it's a left handed sheath.

My grandfather gave me a number of knives, although I don't have pictures of many. The first was the larger Puma here, given to me in the mid-70s

After he passed I inherited this Case

When I was young my grandfather used to carry a peanut size taramundi, but it got lost during some work on the house(probably stolen).
Now he gets by with this one, a little pen knife IHER brand(before aitor became aitor).

My Great Grandfather's EDC was this Wenger from the '50s, I watched him use it all the time when I was a boy. I like it so much that I found another one at auction so I could have my own user version.

Great knives guys, I think you appreciate an object a lot more when it is passed down from family. Keep the pictures coming.

This first one was my dad's EOD kit...

I'm sure there are red Victorinox/Wenger models around, but those don't count here in Switzerland :)

The little Schrade pictured in my avatar belonged to my grandfather. He did not have a long history with it, as I gave it to him for Christmas in 1971, and he died unexpectedly the following autumn.

Here is a link to the story of this knife.

Here is a picture documentary of the work glennbad did replacing the shrinking yellow celluloid handles with autumn gold bone.

This is how it looks today.
