Goodmorning everybody,

I've come across an old knife from my grandfather.

I would like any info on the blade as i can't ask him anymore.

I'ts in a bad shape and i hardly got it open but i did and i would like the revive the knife into the state it was probably decades ago.

It's hard to read but from what i can see on the blade after some whipes its made by '' Pralll'' with some sign in front of it.

Here are some photo's, i hope the url's work.

I'll know more when the remainder of rust comes off.

Anyways, i'll post an after photo when im done cleaning.

Any info will be recieved with enthousiasm.

Thanks en gz, Zillo

Looks like a French Pradel multitool knife.

The history of Pradel knives is set between 1850 and 1960. The company was owned by 4 successive generations of Pradel.
Etienne Pradel created the first "Pradel", closely based on a single blade type from Sheffield.
Made in Thiers, it was mainly sold in Brittany and Normandy to both farmers and fishermen (hence the stamp).
In 1862 E. Pradel stamped his blades with an anchor.

Corwyn_bv Thats amazing, you are better and faster than google :D

I've got some rust off of it and i can definitaly make out Pradel now, with i think a little fishingnet icon.

Also i found lettering on the handle, its realy worn down but i think it says something like Londes wat realy makes your story of the knife come true.
