Anybody like knives in the realm of old/ vintage/ antique? If so, want to see them!

All of my grandparents were born in the 1890s.

This was Mom's dad's. He died in 1964. I used to carry it. Stopped that long ago. Afraid I'd lose it. I remember how sad Dad was when he lost his dad's knife in his back yard. He looked for it until he died.

I keep my Grandpa's pocket Knifes in a box under the bed . I get them out 2-4 Times a year and check them wipe them down and back in the box and under the bed.

My younger cousin wound up with our Grandfathers pocket knife & still has it. I do however have his Wade-butcher straight razor, about 100 years old & still
gived me a great shave.

I only met my Grandfather on my Dad's side once, that I can remember, I was like six. I don't recall him handling any of the items in the photo and was never filled in on where they came from but I can only assume they were his. I keep them pretty much around on some kind of display because I like them. I don't use them; I have never oiled them. I figure the slight rust on the razor is "patina". It is very dry here in the high desert.

Anyway

come on dudes . . . if I am willing to brave the great open maw and the unspeakable horrors there in that is Photobucket surely you guys can busss out with some photos.

PS: any body want to guess how long it will take for this thread to get moved to the traditionals forum ?

I absolutely do like vintage knives.

The Ontario grape hook was my grandpa's as well as the yellow sak classic that was in his pocket when he died, and the little atco next to it.
The imperial jackmaster was a gift from.a forum member, but I'm told that my grandpa did own one so it makes me think of him everyday as I've been carrying it for the past month and a half.
I've also got my grandma's pink sak classic, and a leatherman micra that she owned but never actually used so my dad ended up with it and gave it to me.
That leather wrapped fixed blade was a 16" chef's knife that my dad got in the army ( they were phasing out wood handles and cutting boards ), it was rusty and had over an inch of tip broken off.

Not my grandfather's, but these were my dad's when he was in the Boy Scouts (and he's 80 now) :)
