Grandpas always have great knives, or at least mine did. One of the big reasons I collect.
 for sharing!

One thing I can tell you, your grandfather had an excellent taste in knives. :)

Something that might interest you, all of those Case knives can be dated by looking at the tang stamp style and number of 'dots'. A quick Google search should turn up a chart.

On the Schrade knives, check out the Schrade Collectors sub-forum here at BladeForums. Those were all certainly made before 2004 when the Imperial-Schrade Corporation went bankrupt.

I would post the Morseth knife in the Bernard Leving knife identification forum area.

The other fixed blade hunting knife could have been from a kit or handmade. I'd also post that one in Bernard Levine's.

Thank you very much for sharing thos pictures!

Grandpa had good taste, The fixed blades I dont think your Grandfather had a hand in the morseth stamped knife, this needs to go on Bernard Levines Forum, it may turn out to be a valuable knife-or it may not! put it on and you'll find out, the other fixed blade is a Richardson, he has his unique style and finishes his blades like that, he also scrimshaws them as well, they are a popular knife.
The Case pocket knives...some of them have great Stag...nice knives...others here have a better know-how on them, the Case knives with the "dots" on the Ricaso started at 1970...1970 had ten dots, 1971 had 9 dots, 1972 had 8 dots...and so on until they changed the stamping again, again the guys here will realy help you.
I envy you, my Grandfathers didnt have knives, and I wish....I wish so bad that they did, and that I could have their knife with me now.
Dont let any of these go until you found out a lot more about them, I dont know if it is my very limited experience? but a morseth knife brings in money-and thats why there are fakes out there too... Learn about that by putting it up in Bernards forum.
Good luck, and please keep us informed...... we would like to follow you with what you learn here...as we ( or should I say I ) will learn with you as well :)
Edit, dont look past the value of the Sheath as well, if the Morseth is good, it will be worth a lot more with it,s original sheath, and a Morseth collector probably will pay nice money for a sheath to complete the set ( which you may have ).
The sheath with the ricahrdson looks original to the knife, if you google Richardson fixed blade knife...you will find out more about them.

I think your grandfather had great taste as well! I was wondering about the red and yellow handled knives in the red display case with your grandfathers picture...what shape are the shields...squid?

I seem to recall seeing Morseth blades being sold separately, or with kits.

Thanks for all the respones!

I started to date the knives and it looks like most the case knives are from the 70s. Will date more of them tonight.

He did make the handle on the first fixed blade. Apparently he went to a show in tennesee and got that blade from the maker himself. The handle is cocobolo, aluminum (screwed on not glued) with phenolic spacers. Oh and my father made the sheath its in.

Awesome, Well I can say that your Grandad did a stunning job! Lovely lines, and your Dad did a great job on the sheath as well!, what a neat package to have knowing that your Grandad and Dad had a hand in it both!!
thanks for showing us your knives.

Yeah its pretty cool to have! I have another thread here on the traditional forum. If you find it you can see the knife he made from 440c. The handle looks identical to this one. When I get home ill take a side by side photo.

Ah yes....I just went and had a look at your other thread....Grandad was talented al-right-no doubt about that!

I have to concur your grandfather had great taste! My buddy at work wants one of those Case double lock backs so bad!
