I can't remember ever taking pictures of my Grandpa's knife that I was able to acquire when he passed a few years ago so I figured I'd snap a few today

Nice!

I have been lucky enough to get my paternal grandpa's knife, and a few from my wife's grandpa.

I've given several knives to my own dad and my wife's dad, specifically for them to pass on to my own boys (traditional knives, to be sure).

Nice. it's ones like this that are so special and have more meaning than all the others. Hang onto that one Shawn.

It's knives like these that hope I can build up my collection to pass down to my future grandchildren, nieces or nephews myself.

Nice one! What's the story behind this one. Was that his one and only daily user or part of a collection?

I met my wife's grandfather on her mother's side a out a year ago he carried a giant Schrade lockback hunter as well.

Your Schrade is a 6OT, "Golden Bear" same as the more common 7OT (Cave Bear) except no caps (aka rear bolsters). The Uncle Henry version is the LB7,(Bear Paw) same blade but with impregnated wood handles.
