I just spent about 3 hours trying to get really good shots of this before it gets wrapped. I tried every angle and position ... I drew the line at standing on my head. Turns out the best pictures were of me just holding it.( go figure)

Anyway, here it is. For my grandson in scouts. It's 1/8" 1075 thats been water quenched.(no losses out of five blades ) Brass fittings with copper spacers. 7 1/4" total with a 3 1/4" blade . My daughter tells me that he's been bugging the hell out of her for a knife since summer. He's never said anything to me when he's ooohing and aaahing in my shop. I hope this really wows him.

Yeah, I know the pictures blow.

he will be remembering this Christmas for a LONG time my friend :)

He will love it and remember all the time he saw you working in the shop. Great looking knife. Have a great christmas and new year - - - - - - -

Not the worst pictures I've seen and you know he's going to see it as the most beautiful knife in the world! :)

As the old poem says, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good knife!" :D

He didn't let go of it for at least an hour. Put it back in the case and took it out at least a dozen times. This was 10 times better than selling your first knife. And not as nerve racking.

Wow!! That is just a pretty package all around!

Nice knife, but BSA policy prohibits scouts from carrying sheathed knives as personal tools. As a scoutmaster, I instruct our scouts to use a folding knife with a locking blade.

EG,
This is the third grandkid in scouts with one of my knives. The other two have been in use since last year. I checked myself with the scoutmaster of their troop if they were allowed. I have a few more ready to finish, and donate to the rest of the troop if the parents are willing. It's a small troop, total of nine kids. The troop leader didn't think it was such a big deal. I'm not giving them machetes.
