Hey guys. My grandfather gave me this large camp knife for bummin around with. Never heard of this maker so I was wondering what kind of information you could give me.

In the 1983 Knives there is a William R. Grandquist, 5 Paul St, Bristol, CT 06010, PH 203-582-4012, who might be your man. John

There doesn't seem to be a "D" in the last name on the knife though. I do see behind the makers mark what appears to be a hardness test dot.

Hey thanks. Wish there was a way to contact him. I think it would be creepy if I called him to ask about a knife hahaha

Thanks. Personally, I don't like polished blades. I'd really like to know the steel and handle material. I believe it's a stick tang. For such a large knife you'd think they'd keep it a full tang.

After sharpening it and evening out the swede to form more of a tip, it doesn't seem like a bad knife. The steel seems to be a 420 type steel but I could be wrong
