So I took a little button today and used my RC-3 for the entire process. From field dressing, skinning to boning. I used my RC-3 the entire time and it never let me down. Split the rib cage like butter....the pelvic bone was tough but it got thew it. I figured it would not have enough edge to skin this deer out but low and behold it did. When I got done skinning him I figured I would have to switch knives to bone him out.....NOPE!!! I got the entire deer boned out with the same blade without sharpening it once. Very impressive!! :)

I have used RC/ESEE stuff in the past but not to this extent. Now I know and I figured I would share my experience.

Sorry the first pic is blurry....damn camera phone!

Yeah buddy, good deal. Congrats on the deer, im gonna hit it hard again tomorrow, if i connect i will be using the 6 and see how it holds up, anyway congrats on your good eats...:D

Hmm. Congrats on the deer. How much did it dress out to? I shot a doe this season with my 6.5 and she dressed out to 105lbs. I also skinned and cleaned the whole deer with my ESEE 3. But let me tell you friend, there was no way i could get through the pelvic bone..not a chance..Even the brisket...i used a bone saw..worked fantasic. My ESEE 3 was dull once i was done cleaning my animal..ive never ever in my life seen a blade that could dress out an entire deer or moose and not need to sharpened at the end of it all.

That will be some damn fine eating !

I didn't weight him out.....I know he was small enough to pick up on my own and I got a little over 25 pounds of meat from him after it was all said and done.....didn't touch the neck and one shoulder was completely gone from the exit wound.

He will be good eating for sure....I think I am going to have his back straps tonight! :)

man....that is all I could take....I was by myself the entire time and my main concern was getting this deer processed not taking pics! :( Crap!

I just went and looked at the pics in the thread.....they are sooooo much better than mine! :(

I didn't say I shot the Remington!!!! I could have clubbed it, choked it out, jumped out of a tree and speared it..... ;)

Ahh, can't beat the Venison! Next week I go to my cabin to hunt. Leave in a couple days. Finally it is gun season.

I know it man...going to eat the tenderloin and back straps tonight! YUMMMMMMMM

I've got a bag of jerky marinading right now. Mmmm, mmmm.
