Graphite for Sebbie

Graphite is a pretty poor lubricant compared to the various liquids and oils that are available.

It breaks down fast, is also somewhat abrasive and leaves black smudges on everything.

The primary use of powdered graphite is lubricating locks and devices that remain outdoors all the time. This is because it does not freeze, and therefore won't bind things up when the temperature drops. It also does not attract dirt and sand like liquid lubricants do, so it prevents things from getting jammed up with debris.

I'd find something else to use.

That's what I figured. The guy at Lowe's said he knew what he was talking about but I had my doubts. Thanks.
