I've read about people using graphite lubricant to alleviate lock stick on knives. Has anyone done this and enjoyed the result? If so, liquid graphite? powder? What particular brands and products are recommended? Thanks BF.

I had a preety severe case of lock stick on one of my striders sng, I used powder graphite and that made break in the knife so much more less painful, now it locks up great, I've heard of car lubricant graphite working too, but I have no experience with it

Closest I've heard to that is coloring it with a pencil.
I also recall watching a video where the gentleman mentioned using a sharpie on the lock surface of his knives. I've not tried that as yet.

I have used powdered graphite up here in Canada when the winter temps get extreme. It is good for house locks, vehicle door locks, fire arm actions etc. It comes in a small tube and is relatively cheap. Go easy when shooting out a burst, the material is light and a ton flies out. Wipe off the surrounding area after or you will get it all over everything. It works, it's good stuff. I believe that the stuff was made for sticky house locks so maybe pursue it through that direction.

or try something like BreakFreeCLP--not graphite I think it is teflon based but it is also a dry lubricant. Works quite well
