Graphite pins ?

Some body have tried to use graphite pins to fix its handle?

While going in a hoby shop to buy brass rod and saw some blacks rods
which seem like carbonne fiber but they are graphite rods for kite building.
It is extremely resistant and quite flexible...
Anybody have already tryes them? Does that sand and takes a good finish?

Yes they work just fine for pins but don't shine up too easily when you finish the handle. Another thing that a couple of folks around here are using is carbon fibre tubing that the archery shops make arrows from for thong tubes.
