Graphite to lube slippies???

Has anyone tried graphite lock lube on a slippie? I only put a drop of mineral oil on each pivot pin, but no matter how much I wipe it off, it seems to leach out around the blade and back spring for the next few days. Just thought graphite might be an alternative.

sorry if this is a stupid question but are you talking about the graphite powder that they use to lubricate locks, because id imagine that would make quite a mess. Also how long does it last compared to a drop of oil ?
 
powder was what I used.

It didnt seem to last longer or shorter than a drop of oil in my experience.
