Hi all!

Just wondering if anyone has heard of a Cutlery firm or knife maker who's mark is "GRASSER", i've come accross one at a market, I haven't bought it yet, but no sheath, single edge clip point fixed blade, the handle is some kind of hardwood and plain rectangular shape..it looks very vintage, maybe post-ww2, not sure. The name sounds European, maybe German? no solingen marks though. Any Ideas?

Found this on Hellb..,er,Ebay.States possibly military.:)
Stamped Grasser.

I don't know the maker "Grasser", but the pic seems to show a WW2 "Infanteriemesser 42" - the german field and fighting knife.
It was given to the soldiers with MP and MG who had no use for a bayonet.
That's mine, but a different maker

Thanks! Both pictures resemble this knife, I took a gamble and bought it anyway, the old bloke I bought it from runs a stall at the local flea market every week, and sell mostly vintage knives and tools. It was only $18.00AU, so for that price, I'm not complaining. It doesn't have a sheath, but looks more like the bottom picture. Thanks again for your info. I've found a few obscure references on the net to the cutlery firm, but nothing really concrete.
Cheers!
