Grasshopper one hand opening video - my first

great vid. I am sure that would help a lot of people. I open it the same way except I don't have any paracord lanyards.

Never knew that opening it one handed is a problem to some people. I open my bug, honeybee and grasshopper one handed without any problem. I hold the blade at the thumb hole between my thump and index finger and then rotate the handle with my middle finger.

The video could have used more explosions, but other than that I say keep up with the videos. It was a useful video, and I find that when I'm looking at reviews, there tends to be a little too much time spent on opinions rather than content that helps with my buying decisions. Opinions are good for reviews and sometimes they pay off, but a lot of the time I find my self trying to skip through the videos. Can you open it one-handed without the lanyard?

I can open it one handed without the lanyard using the pinch the blade and push the handle with your middle finger trick. Leaned this after my video. Much harder to do, but it does work. I still use the lanyard whenever I am opening, which is about 100 times a day. I'm trying to stop biting my fingernails, so I'm opening all the time.

I was going to buy one, but now I am unsure, didn't think the slip-joint was so tight. Anybody know a similar knife (metal handles, decent steel, non-locking) that can be an easier to use alternative?
