About a month ago, I contacted Josiah about one of the knives that he had avaliable. I had seen his work around here, and was impressed by his take on a good general use knife.
I purchased this knife, and I have and will continue to use it on a regular basis.
First impressions.
Here are some pictures for your edifcation, with a rat-1 and a rat-3 included for reference.
The scratches seen on the blade are from my use, not the maker's inattention to detail. Blade showed up in perfect condition.

Good heft. Not heavy, but hefty/solid feeling
Handle is great for big hands (like me). Well contoured.
1095 steel, which is my preference. Have to oil it though, as it is unfinished (also my preference).
Good balance. Feels neutral in the hand.
Came sharper than I can produce, with a well polished edge.
I enjoy the extra large bump he put where the choil is on my Rat-3. I don't much care for choils, but I like this. Positively positive that I won't accidently put my fingers where they don't go. Also protects the index finger if you slip on a forward stroke. It's a nice design element. Also aids in retention in the sheath.
Sheath is kydex. Has good retention, and came with a tec-lock.
I enjoyed my experience with the maker, when I talked on the phone with him to make the transaction happen, as well as through e-mail when I asked questions. Direct, polite, and fast with answers.
Knife got here fast.
