Gravitator question

Does the Gravitator have a frosted type finish? or is it shiny? Kinda dumb question, but I could'nt realy tell from any of the pics I've seen. thanks Z

I'm guessing you're asking if it's mirror-like polished? If that's the question, I think we can say no.
 
I'm pretty sure Benchmade says it is bead blasted. The BM catelog makes it look very dull like a bead blast, not like a satin finish.
 
its a bead blasted finish as zealot said already and one of my favorite edc knife that i own and favorite of the benchmade line.:)
 
Does the bead blasting make it more prone to rust? I clean aquariums and cut open bags of salt and stuff everyday. Z
 
Yes it does. The "pits" can trap moisture. Many people report rust spots forming in these pits.

However, I think think it is enough of a problem with a stainless knife that you should worry about it if you prefer the bead blasted look to the black coating. Put some sort of protectant on the blade (such as Tuf-Glide) and you should be more than fine.
