gravity knife?

Hey all,

I can't remind the name of a knife I had heard of during a discussion here. It was a very dangerous and special knife... a "gravity knife" I think. It was quite big, and when closed the blade was totally inside the handle. By pressing a button or something, the blade was strongly thrown away... it was like a blade thrower, with a strong power/inerty.
I remember one told that the system was not secured and accidents were easy.
If you know the name or any picture on the net, thanks a lot!!!

Guillaume, I believe you are referring to a "ballistic knife" not a gravity knife. A gravity knife opens one handed, when you push the button the blade slides out due to gravity. I am pretty sure that ballistic knives are spring powered. I don't know anything about over in France, but over here they are very illegal. I believe VG had some pics on his webpage a while ago, don't know if they are still there. Hope this helped!
