grayman knives????

Brutish, fugly and mean. Built to be used hard, beaten, resharped against a rock or whatever may be at hand. A classic field/survival and/ or fighting knife.

Fairly rare and unless your in the military, only available on the pre-owned market.

That sums it up.

I REALLY like Grayman Knives. I go to the site every now and then, just to look at them.

Hey Michelle,

Do you where their shop is? From their site, they have alot of facts and links about Africa and their knives have African names. Are they out of Africa?

From what I read on the website, they have one knifemaker who builds the knives when he is in the US.

Wow......I'm embarrassed to say I've never even heard of Grayman knives before this post. They're beautiful knives. They look amazingly solid like my BKT Campanion......but a whole lot prettier.

I am really happy with mine.

I just got my Lignum Vitae Dinka with an Expedition Sheath. I am very happy with the strength of this knife and the quality of the sheath. Super utilitarian. I needed to sharpen it, because it had not been honed smooth, but finished on a wheel instead that only took a few minutes due to the quality of the steel

Pros:

Blade strength looks to be ginormous.
Black GunKote finish also seems to be very solid
Grips are solidly attached and fitted carefully to the tang
Sharpened quickly without using a steel.
Nice engraving on the tang with name and slogan
Sheath holds knife in place even when unsnapped
Really prompt shipping and communication.

Cons:

I misjudged the size of the grip and need to be careful with finger placement when bare handed.
I probably should have ordered the optional gator grip.

So overall, I think this is a great knife for a reasonable price and I will have it for the rest of my life . . . http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk42/robndenver/IMG_0544.jpg
