TOOK IT OUT AND BEAT ON IT FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES

DID NOT HAVE A LOT OF TIME--BUT IT'S SUPPOSED TO RAIN TOMORROW-SO I FIGURED I'D START THE TESTING TODAY AND FINISH THIS WEEKEND.

GRIP FEELS GREAT AFTER SANDING ALL THE EDGES OUT

OUTSTANDING CHOPPER!!!!!!

VERY EASY TO CONTROL AND MAINTAIN ACCURACY

HEAVY-SOLIDLY BUILT-SHARP AS MY EX WIFES TONGUE.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A KNIFE TO BEAT THE HELL OUT OF---MAN YOU BETTER LOOK AT GRAYMAN

http://graymanknives.com/

I WILL TEST IT FULLY THIS WEEKEND----SO FAR VERY VERY HAPPY!!!!!!!

I THINK THE REASON YOU DO NOT SEE MANY OF THESE FOR SALE IS THE OWNERS ARE SOOOOO HAPPY WITH THEM---THEY WILL NOT SELL THEM.

I THOUGHT THE HANDLE WOULD HURT EVEN AFTER SANDING OFF THE EDGES--BUT IT FEELS GREAT!!!!!!

I thought at one time he was only taking military orders but it looks like he's opened up for everyone now by looking at his site. Only heard good things about them.

Apparently not now but wasn't it that way at one time!!!!!!

By At One Time I mean not currently as I saw the same thing on his website as you did. In the past it seemed like I had read that military users had asked him if it was ok to sell their knives to civilians. Because he didn't. IIRC anyway.

I like the Grayman knives a lot, talk about all business! Nice pics.

I have one on order the, Dinka. I am very excited to hear the knives are awesome...and of course the people at Grayman were amazing!!!!!!

Wondering how this blade is ground ... the visible edge bevel is quite large, making it appear that it might be flat stock all the way down to where the edge bevel begins. Or is the blade fully flat ground?

I am strangely drawn to the mini-dinka. I say strangely because a 2.5" blade thats 1/4" thick? How the hell does that work? But I'm curious to know! :p

Just got back from the knife testing trip.

5 of us went hiking and tested the Grayman.

All agreed the Grayman was a very heavy knife--but an OUTSTANDING chopper.

We all made about 100 chops each--and the Grayman was shaving sharp after 2 passes on the sharpmaker when I got home.

Here is a Slideshow of the Grayman-(next to a Koster Bushcraft and a Becker Campanion for size )

Very nice Will, I don't know who look's meaner the blade or you...:) is the blade symetrical on both side's??? on the pics it look's like one side is flat ground up to the spine and the other side seems half way ground...

Ok, I got it last thursday just before I leave for a couple of days to a cabin in the mountains, a perfect set up for testing this beast...after a little file job to smooth up some rought edges and some sharpening it was ready for some action. My favorite chopper is my Dogfather but this thing comes really close. I split logs so easily with it and chopped through some with the same ease. It's very impressive performance wise but it's not a work of art, it's uneven ground, it look's unfinished but it all add to it's charm...this THING is under rated for sure!!! Oh and the sheath is perfect. I took a couple of pics of it in action and of my trek, check it out guys....Thank's and cheers!!!
