Ive been looking at Grayman folders the Satu and Dua but Ive never held one nor do I know anyone personally that has. I was wondering if anyone had either or both and could give me their impressions of the two? I own many ZTs and just recently got my first Sebenza and I have many other folders Benchmades, Spydercos, Kershaws, etc ... but these caught my eye and Im considering trying one. The other couple brands I have been looking at are Striders and Medfords.

I have a Dua that I like a lot. The Satu is HUGE! I also had a TSF Beast, but preferred the Dua. Hope this helps!

That's how I got hooked on Graymans too...they caught my eye.

What I always post in answer to this question is: If you like the look, just buy it. There will be no quality issues and you'll like it. You can feel the quality and strength just holding it. They are good people to work with too.

They will be more like ZT's in size and weight. The Dua's only slightly shorter than a ZT 560 and may be slightly wider or as wide. They are 'heavy' and feel good in hand. I have larger hands and the Dua fills it satisfyingly, with my little finger lying comfortably on the end ramp. The Satu goes up from there.

If you like the pic and specs what you receive from them will be exactly what you expect it to be. They are that good.

Thanks that answers some of the questions I had about the feel in hand. And Ive heard nothing but good about dealing with them which was making me lean that way over the other options.

I have both the dua and satu, I love them both but I carry the dua more often because of its smaller size. I also think the dua is a little more comfortable than the satu.

Own them both and both are great knives. Dua is perfect for EDC, while the Satu is a little too large to be practical for carrying daily. I do carry my Satu in my outdoors bag because it is a great size for outdoor chores. Can't go wrong with either. Both are good quality knives that you won't feel bad about using.

can you get the Dua with G-10 scales also? I read mid 2015 and Im not sure Id go with that over the Ti anyway I just couldnt find anything about whether it was even an option yet.

You can get em but they might be sold out.

Yes, they come with G-10 now. The Ti-ti was what originally sold me to begin with though; G-10 wasn't available then. I don't really like the look as much with a G-10 side....and it probably makes the ti on that side thinner, etc.

I like slab folders and I'd have gone w/ the Ti-ti anyway. Glad I did. The stonewash is great too---30Vblade and Ti handle match well.

Yea I like the full ti, my dua is CF and Satu is black g10 but would have preferred the ti scales. Very clean looking appearance.

Get the DUA...rather than the very LARGE Satu. in my opinion. I've had two DUA's; nice folders. I have carried a large Sebenza as well. The DUA grip is 4.25"; long enough for most hands. Check out what minimum length of grip you need BEFORE you order.
Here are DUA specs: 3.25” x 1.25” blade - measured from handle to tip (3" cutting edge) 7.5” OAL

Below is orange G10 DUA, small Sebenza, Three Sisters Forge Beast.
I've had multiples of all of these, plus large Sebenzas.
Certainly, the Sebbie is the best of the three, IMO. I liked my DUA except that the cutout for index finger is too far back to use, and too far forward for use by middle finger. For MY use.
The TSF Beast is a great folder. Had several; gifted one to grandson.
Except for the Sebbie, these blades are all too thick to slice well, but do much better for heavy-duty work...construction, etc.

Note blade-lengths for carry restrictions in some states.
Dua is larger than 3" blade, tip to grip.
Sebbie (small) is just less than 3".
TSF Beast is just less than 3". Might find this to be very important in some states or jurisdictions.

Get small Seb for office carry; large Sebbie for common EDC. My opinion, of course.

Satu is Malay/Indonesian for 1. Dua is Malay/Indonesian for 2. The Satu is a huge knife.

The Dua is a little small, but the Satu is frickin huge. Satu is literally like carrying a brick. Or a kitchen floor tile.

Satu is big, wide and heavy. A true beast. Belt and suspenders recommended. :D

I Have never handled a Dua but I do own a Satu. It was given to me when sitting around the deer camp fire this year by my old 20 plus year hunting buddy. It is a beast and I love it, the actions is soooo! smooooth! Graymans are alot of knife for the money these days and their good people that make great knives. Now all I need is a Dua. :D I've owned striders and hinderers and my Satu will hang with them any day of the week Imho.

I like the Ti over the G-10 myself ... I'm still a bit torn after seeing the comparison pictures I thought the Dua would be a bit larger then it seems to be ... although the handle is quite a bit thicker and may feel good in hand.
I have a Small Sebenza I love but for this knife use it would be better to fill my hand a bit more.
I may have to wait until I can get one in my hand and see how they feel. Thanks for all your input and for the comparison pictures
