I disassembled my 0566. The torsion bar had some grease on it when I disassembled it. I called Kai to see what the grease was, and the customer service representative told me that bearing grease would work. However, after visiting two stores, I cannot find any in the amount that I need. What do people use to grease the torsion bar? What about the pivot? Thanks!

I've had two 0566's that I've used…on both of these, I used "Finish Line Tech Grease"…it's bicycle grease. I never had any issues with this, the knife actually felt like it flicked faster.

Dupont Krytox GPL-205. I use it on flashlight threads too but it's not cheap.

+1 on finish line grease . Lithium grease will work in a pinch and cab be had at auto parts stores.

You don't "need" grease or oil it's not going to make the knife fail without it. The only thing grease does for a tension bar IMHO is make it say in place when your assembling the knife . Any lube you have lying around will do the trick

I disassembled it, lubed it, and reassembled it. Now the blade favors the lock side by a few hairs. :( I tried tightening and untightening the pivot screw to no avail. Any suggestions? Or does someone know of a good video to solve that problem?

Do you know the centering trick with the pivot and the frame screws ? Google hinderer or Emerson centering tricks in my experience they work on all knives
