Grease or tuff cloth?

Hello I have a new cold steel 0-1 Trail master and I will be putting it in storage for a while, is the heavy coat of grease it comes with good enough for corrosion resistance or should I use my tuff cloth?

I'd think the grease it comes with is sufficient, given that it's intended to protect the knife while it sits in inventory. As long as you aren't storing it anywhere especially harmful (humid/damp, salt air, etc), you should be fine.

Don't store it in a leather sheath, though.

I think that one comes with a plastic (Secure-Ex) sheath

My original Trailmaster rusted. I kept it in the original paper sheath in the original grease it came in. It took many years, I lived in San Diego (humid, salt air) and I didn't do anything other than what I've mentioned. It didn't rust very much though. I've almost got it restored now...

Hard to beat good old Vaseline as a rust preventive. Nontoxic, too.

I wouldn't store a knife in ANY kind of sheath. Its just a place for moisture to collect.
