This may be a silly question........

I know that it is "recommended" that you use fluorinated grease when lubing your sebenza's and other folding CRK knifes. I don't have any of that kind of grease, but what I do have is a bunch of this http://www.slip2000.com/slip2000-EWG.html. I was thinking if it is good enough for my AR15 it MIGHT also work well on my sebenza?

Synthetic greases are classified NGLI-2, while mineral greases are NGLI-1. They are not miscible, the detergents in the mineral grease will break down the polymers in the NGLI-2 and lead to lubrication failure.

So if your Sebenza came with synthetic grease it's is best to stick with it, unless you can properly clean the bearing surfaces.

Here's a post from some guy who claims to know about the grease ;)

It is the same P.T.F.E. type lube but will not work the same as ours.CRK lube is specially formulated for us by the manufacturer that is why it is a little more expensive but it works better than any other lube that i have found.Petroleum based lubes do not work well with Ti .To use our lube you only have use very small drops in the right places it will last a long time so is not expensive when looked at from that point of view.
