Great article Dexter.

The latest Knives Illustrated had a great article on high tech locks by Dexter Ewing. I just wanted to say that I thought it was very informative and worth the price of the magazine on it's own.
This is one of the rare times that I have bought a Knives Illustrated in the last few years. If they have more articles like that one I will once again be a regular reader as I was in days gone by.

Keith - thanks for your comments. As you can tell, I had a lot of fun putting that one together. With all these new locks coming on the market, we thought that it would be a good idea to have a "shoot out" type article explaining in detail how and why they work, for those who are not familiar. I'm happy that you found the article useful. Hopefully, KI will continue to have articles like that in the future.

I agree, Dexter's article was good. All of them were. If they give him anymore space next month, they may have to change the name to "Knives Dexter", or "Dexter Illustrated".

If all goes according to plan, the next issue of KI should run my last 2 articles. After that, y'all need to pay attention to Shotgun News

I agree with Keith 110%. I read some of the articles published here and there (notice no names) and when I'm done reading I think what was that all about? When I finish reading one of Dexter's articles I find myself looking for the next one. Dexter has set a new standard!

Agreed. A very good overview of what's going on out there. Always enjoy Dexter's hands-on evaluations as well. Keep it coming, Dexter!

We on this forum should thank our lucky stars to have people like Dexter, with their knowledge and expertise, who are willing to pass it along to us. I know that I am much more knowledgable about knives because of this.
Thanks Dexter, and the many others, that keep us informed about the latest things in the world of knives. This would be a much less interesting forum without you. You are much appreciated.

Keith.

Yeah, and with all his new Surefires, I don't know if he'll even be able to walk.

Keep watch over SGN, basically doing the same type of work I did with KI.

Gene - yup, I need to find a heavier duty vest to accommodate both knives AND lights

As a favor to those of us who have to deal with him on a regular basis, please don't inflate Dex's ego any more. It is already hard enough to fit him and his knives/lights/pens in a normal room, much less with a swelled head
