I posted a few pictures in another thread of my new ETAK that showed how off centered the blade was. I wasn't able to get the blade centered myself so I sent it in to Emerson last Wednesday and received in the mail today and it's perfect

Here are some before and after pics

I wonder what they did to correct it, and if it will go back the way it was if you ever take it apart for a good cleaning?

My patriot did this exact same thing, but I've found that if when you put it back together you start from the body screw farthest from the pivot and tighten your way to the pivot, and then tighten the pivot last. I read this somewhere else but I can't remember where. It worked for me though.

That's Fantastic! Enjoy your ETAK! Hell of a knife!

I plan on it! I really like the look and feel of the ETAK.

I'm not sure how they fixed it. This is the only Emerson that I've experienced the blade being off center like this out of nearly 10 that I've owned in the past 4 years.

I tried this method a few times before sending it in, I would have preferred fixing it myself actually but I couldn't get the result I wanted.

I just sent a Super Commander back last Saturday because the blade was hitting the standoff making a small nick in the blade. Got a call for return shipping last night. Less than a week turnaround is pretty quick.
