My dad is a bouncer at a local club and the other day he was by the door when somebody walked up to him and offered him a his knife for $10.00 so he could keep drinking,so my dad knowing I collect knives had decided to buy it for me,it's got a beautiful mother of pearl handle, stainless steel blades,it's a Peanut design and it's in great shape,it's a recently made Case judging by the stamp, overall it's a great little knife and I really enjoy it,it has nice half stops and decent snaps for it's size, there's no cracks in it and overall it's a good looking little knife, here's a photo of the knife:

just thought I'd share this with you :)

Jeez, what an idiot. Gives his Case peanut awayfor a few more beers. It's good that the knife is with someone who will apretiate it better.

Carl.

Once upon a time it was a man with a great family. On his 40ies birtday he got a knife from his son. The family went under in the thailand Tsunami and he was the only survivor. This made him a sad drinker and once when broke in a bar he sold his most treasured posesion, the knife his son gave him. When sobering up and realising what his done he:

A. Tied a rope to the hook of a parked car and the other end around the throat waiting for the car to drive, wanting to die like a forgotten dog.

B. went into AA 12 step program making sure he never did a mistake like that again.

Or

Once there was a man that together with his knifenut buddy went to a boring knifestore and was talked into bying a rediciously small knife. carried it in the pocket to please the friend but found it a unusable thing until he one night had the good ide to sell it and by some bears. Knowing about how unimportent a knife is he made up a story about being broke to be able to convince someone to actually pay him money for his mistake.....

Those knifes that have belonged to someone else... unknown...so full of stories.

Yeah, you gotta wonder how he came by that knife. I'd be willing to bet that he found it or was given it himself. At $55 it's certainly not the most expensive or exotic of Cases, but it's not something you'd expect somebody to practically give away for $10 if he knew its actual value or original cost.

Nice score.

Great for you, sad for him that he's got that bad of a problem. Maybe when he sobers up, he'll know it was a foolish idea.

you get all sorts, I used to be a bouncer at some classy night clubs and got $800 cash from a seriously drunk guy to let him use the bathroom after lockout (3:00am all clubs aren't allowed to let more patrons in). :)

Great score, for $10 thats awesome!
