There has been several posts about Ed Fowler lately. He is a great knifesmith and wordsmith too. I just purchased his book "Knife Talk" online from Barnes & Noble for $5.91, and that price includes shipping! If you want one for this price you can click on this link:

The book is listed at $11.96 which is a great deal in itself. Add the book to your shopping cart and check out. When you check out there is a spot to enter in a "coupon". In that field type in "coshare" and that will give you $10.00 off. The price of the book is now $1.96 and my shipping choice cost $3.95 for a total of $5.91. The "coshare" coupon is supposed to be good until 01/31/2K.
 
This is a GREAT book. I'm almost done reading it myself. Ed really has a way with words. Lots of great stories in the book.

It's kind of weird how things work. Although I have always liked knives, I never new much about the custom's and the noted makers around the country, untill I got a computer and discovered bladeforums several months back.

In the time since I have discovered the "bladeforum" I never saw a post about Ed Fowler. Then the other day while at the local library looking for books on how to make knives, I spotted Mr. Fowlers book and started thumbing through it, and could not put it down. He is my kind of guy, and the book has been very enjoyable.

Thanks for the tip on where to buy a copy.

This is great. I have Ed's book but I used the same code to get Wayne Goddard's The Wonder of Knifemaking for about $10 total!

As I already have the Fowler book, I did the same thing Kodiak did - ordered the Goddard book. Thanks for the info!

I wonder how often you can use the coupon? Probably just once I would imagine.
 
You are right Kodiak, I tried to apply it to the Goddard book and it would not take the 10.00 off. If I find another code to use, will let you all know.
