MSC is one of the few companies that it's worth getting on their email list for promos like this one. NEVER order from them without checking the weekly discounts first! They routinely offer 20-40% off or free shipping on materials, tools and all sorts of other cool stuff. For instance if you're looking to stock up on steel and don't need it right now, wait a couple weeks till they run a metals special. If you develop a relationship with a salesperson they sometimes give you a heads-up on what's coming soon. (I happen to live with one, heheh... she doesn't work there anymore but we have friends that do. )

I get teased about "paying more" for Starrett PG O1 from MSC, but in fact with the right specials I sometimes get it cheaper than non-PG non-namebrand O1 from other sources.
