Hello Everyone. I've been chasing a few traditionals lately and one that keeps eluding me is the GEC 72. I let a beautiful micarta 72 get away from me the other day on the Bay and have been kicking myself. How often would you say they come up here? I've been watching for awhile and it seems this one might be tough. Here are some trapper patterns and a moose pattern from Queen Cutlery and Kabar that I have been able to find.

Are you looking for a user or collector piece?

The 72 would be a user for sure. I've been reading as much as I can and it sounds like maybe there are a few of their lockbacks with some amount of blade play? I haven't had a lockback Great Eastern so I'm not sure if that is something that is there right off the bat or if it develops with time? But a good tight user would work for me, but I'm likely not passing on new or used if something comes up at this point.

ETA: I do have a couple of the 73's and 56's but thought it might be nice to have a single blade lockback that was pocket friendly like the 73's, thus my want of the 72.....

Ok guys, let's nix the "I'm looking for", selling discussion. As TOM K. posted, continue in PMs, please. Thanks.
