Great EDC light duty blade, and a new timepiece!

I was gifted this knife at blade show this year by the owner of protech, and have carried it at least 3 times a week since then. It is an all G-10 scaled godson in 154cm. As far as daily use goes, this thing, even with the crazy fine tip, doesn't miss a beat. It slays tape and cardboard alike, as well as cleans and fillets fish, opens bags of mulch, and picks metal slivers out of my hands about ten times daily. The thing is as light as air, and opens faster than superman escaping a collapsing building with damsel in tow. The centering has not moved at all since new, and the lockup is still SOLID. The heat treat on protech's 154 is top notch and takes a great edge with little work. I would recomend it to anyone.

Today happens to be my 2 year anniversery with my beautiful and wonderful wife and she gifted me this Citizen. It is the perfect size for my meaty wrist, and I feel, judging by past experience with eco-drives, that it will be a very serviceable timepiece for years to come.

Just thought since I had a few minutes this evening, I would share them with y'all.

Here is one of the Anniversery pictures that we had taken today. She is everything to me.....and she randomly suprises me with amazing knives (protech tr-4, Benchmade 940, zt 0801cf, zt 0560cbcf.....all of which I hadnt even mentioned to her!)

Congrats on a great edc, great watch and celebrating two years of marriage. May you celebrate many many more:thumbup:

Congratulations, brother! On the new pieces, AND what sounds like a marriage for the long haul!

Thanks y'all. My wife and I work together for her parents at their machine shop. I have programmed and set up CNC mills for several years, and just recently her father pulled me off the machine and moved me into the shop foreman position. She is working with her mom overseeing office operations, and down the road her and I will be taking the reins at the head of the company. I do not miss my college days at all, and turning 30 in December; I think the next 10 years will be the best years of my life so far.

Congratulations!

Protechs are an excellent choice. IMO they have some of the cleanest grinds on a production knife mixed with an exceptional stonewash. Great all around blades.

I do enjoy autos but I wish they would expand on their current line up of knives with more manual versions.

Congratulations on two years of married bliss. It looks like you two will grow together and become a part of each other. Now you have no excuse for being late. :) The Protec line has good quality in their product. I might even have one, unfortunately I can't carry it due to my states laws.

Congrats on the anniversary! She looks just like a girl I went to school with in Pittsburgh growing up.

Great looking knife also ! I think I need one of those.

Congrats on the wedding anniversary! And I dig the new time piece and knife. Also looks like your torch collection isn't too shabby. Do you belong to CPF as well? Business ownership is not for the feint of heart but it sounds like you have plenty of experience and company operations are in the well-oiled machine stage (no pun intended) so all good stuff! Cheers!
